If you want to hire a go-getter, look no further than Jorman Nunez. Always seeking to improve himself through education, Jorman enrolled in a variety of trade programs to develop his skills. Jorman has already earned diplomas in welding and CNC and robotic manufacturing technology and electrical technician diploma program. He is positioning himself to become a manager who has the knowledge required to tackle all aspects of a project. That's why he also completed our Associate of Applied Science in Construction Administration program. All of us at Rockford Career College are extremely proud of Jorman for earning his associate degree and relentlessly pursuing his dream career.

What You Learn in a Construction Administration AAS Program

Our welding, and electrical programs are designed to provide students with relevant, in-demand skills. Our construction administration AAS program goes beyond by allowing students to complete an advanced level of course work in their chosen field and develop general education skill sets in areas such as English, history, and math. For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, Jorman took courses such as: Human Relations and Problem Solving, Quality Control and Product Supervision, and Crew Leadership and Safety.

In these courses, he learned about:

  • Developing effective communication and leadership skills, problem solving for decision making, and resolving potential human relations difficulties
  • Types of quality control in a professional job site context as well as how to incorporate quality and safety through effective communication, document control, and inspections protocols and procedures
  • Different leadership styles, communication, delegating, problem solving, job site safety, the crew leader’s role in safety, project planning, scheduling, and estimating

In addition to construction administration-specific subjects, Jorman completed general education courses such as College Math and Life Science to fulfill associate degree requirements.
