We Proudly Present Business Administration Graduate Molly Quinn
DATE On June 07, 2022

"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.” This Milton Berle quote inspired Molly Quinn to carve out her own career path rather than wait to see if her dream would be handed to her.1 After enrolling in Rockford Career College's Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration program, Molly studied hard and earned her degree. We are so proud of her for accomplishing her academic and professional goals. “The tassel is worth the hassle!" Molly says.

What You Learn in a Business Administration AAS Program

Our business administration program is designed to provide students with relevant, in-demand skills. Our AAS programs go beyond by allowing students to complete an advanced level of course work in their chosen field and develop general education skill sets in areas such as English, history, and math.

For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, Molly took courses such as: Strategic Negotiation for Business, Digital Communication Strategies, and Accounting for Managers.

In these courses, she learned about:

  • Utilizing sales techniques, tracking sales accounts, projecting outcomes, and negotiating agreements
  • The appropriate formats, styles, and protocols for communicating through various electronic media, including email, fax, social media, and file uploads/downloads; the use of digital communications in various business applications, including marketing, promotion, fundraising, and other processes; and the legal, ethical, privacy, and security implications associated with all forms of electronic communication
  • Communication and decision making within an organization (including how to understand, apply, and explain accounting information for managerial decisions)

Additionally, Molly took general education courses such as Introduction to Psychology and Life Science to meet associate degree requirements.
