Robert's career as a surgical technologist began in 1983. For his apprenticeship, he worked in the operating room at Andrews Air Force Base. While in the Air Force, he graduated from the School of Healthcare Sciences with a concentration in surgical technology. In 1986, Robert was introduced to the worlds of material management and central sterile processing, rounding out his knowledge of the field. His teaching career began in 1998 at High Tech Institute in Sacramento, California.
A Certified Surgical Technologist, Robert has over 36 years of experience. Robert also holds an associate degree from Liberty University. He is proficient in managing resources for the operating room and central service as well as sterilizing equipment and supplies. Robert has been the program director at RCC for over a year and has done a tremendous job growing the surgical technology program. His passion for surgical technology and dedication to his students have been inspirational to all of us at Rockford Career College.
