DATE On June 28, 2021

Brendon Turner has never been easily deterred by a challenge. “Never give up on your dreams,” he says. Determination and careful studying carried Brendon through Rockford Career College's business administration program and started him on his path to a new career.

What You Learn in a Business Administration Program

For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, Brendon took courses such as: Microsoft Excel, Finance for Operations Managers, Ethics and Social Responsibility, and more.

In these courses, he learned about:

  • Excel concepts such as creating spreadsheets, working with charts and graphs, formatting, using solver utility, and importing data into Excel.
  • Finance and accounting principles for non-financial managers, reading financial statements, using proven accounting methods to forecast revenue and plan for growth, discussing and reporting financial data using the appropriate terminology, planning budgets, justifying requests, and spotting issues.
  • Ethical perspectives in business; integrity and ethical leadership; corporate social responsibility; employee ethical responsibilities and rights; ethics and the law; ethical issues in finance, marketing, advertising, and human resource management; and ethical issues in a global business.
