DATE On June 14, 2019

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”1 This anonymous quote is what recent graduate Kierra Wilson believed as she began a new career path. Although becoming a medical assistant seemed like a daunting task at first, simply taking the first step of enrolling at Rockford Career College brought her closer to her goal. Ms. Wilson worked hard daily until successfully receiving her diploma in May of 2019.

Our ten-month Diploma in Medical Assistant program prepares students for a new career via an externship as well as classroom instruction. Courses cover topics such as Patient Care, Administrative Procedures, Specimen Collection and Analysis, Minor Surgical Procedures, and more. The 170-hour externship also includes 160 hours of training in a local clinic, hospital, or physician's office to allow students to develop their skills before graduation.

We hope Ms. Wilson's story inspired you. Whether you are interested in the medical assistant program or one of the many other programs offered at Rockford Career College, please come in and talk to us today to find your career passion.
