READ MOREUnited Alloy Employer talks about why you should pursue welding as a career.
Hi, my name is Ashton Brusco and I'm with United Alloy and we're partnering with Rockford Career College because we need you as a welder. We are just not United Ally but we as a workforce need welders in this world. It is a trade that is going nowhere and it will be here forever and there is a lot of money to be made out there in the trades. So, we need people like you to graduate and come and work at United Alloy or just join the trades and don't give up on them at all.
Thank you to the AWS(American Welding Society) for the plaque recognizing RCC as a Valued Patron of the AWS Blackhawk Section!
Stephen Tave, President/CEO of AHED said: "Congratulations on the recognition--RCC has made great contributions to the community with the new trades division."

It’s no secret that the Rockford-area has many homeless individuals out there on the streets. Anywhere you choose to travel downtown Rockford, you are guaranteed to see at least one, but more than likely multiple, people in a small radius. In fact, we have some homeless people living right outside of Rockford Community College’s walls. With a skate park nearby and many businesses surrounding the area, we are located in a spot where someone without shelter is able to be covered.
But it’s getting cold out.
When Katy Perry sang, “Well, baby, you’re a firework,” she CLEARLY had Rockford Career College’s latest team of welding students in mind! While taking these welding certification classes, these students are learning all about safety and the proper techniques required to be top notch welders in their field. Now, having not met our welding students, let me paint a picture for you – these students are literally bursting with personality. They are fun and witty, which occasionally makes it extremely difficult to keep them focused on the various classroom lecture topics.
